It is official. I am going to Morocco.

The invitation arrived in my mail box this past weekend. I called the DC office today and "accepted the invitation with great honor and excitement". I leave for orientation on September 8th, land in Morocco on September 11th, and am officially sworn in as a Peace Corp Volunteer on November 26, 2007.

This is all very overwhelming yet very fulfilling knowing it is finally really happening.

Reality hits hard.

Hi Kristin.
I have been nominated for the same program in Morocco leaving in September! I still have to finish my dental exam, so I haven't been invited yet, but it's neat to run across your blog.

Kristin,
I'm soon to be invited to community development in Morocco as well. Drop me a note if you like: kaiserjoeicem (at) netzero.net. If you're not on the Yahoo group list, check that out as well. There's a general PC one and a Morocco one as well. -- linley, detroit

Hi Kristin.
Same here. I was just invited to the same program in Morocco. I also live in Seattle. Yay! Wow, I should probably start setting up a blog. Looking forward to meeting you!---mia

Congratulations! I was a youth development volunteer in Morocco, left in 2003. It's a beautiful country that I miss every damn day (especially now that I'm studying for a bar exam...I would MUCH rather be chatting with my host sister over couscous). If you have any questions, my email is rwelch@tulane.edu
